Murrieta Surf is elated to announce former MLS & US Women's National Team Asst. Coach Trevor James
as Murrieta Surf Technical Director & Boys DOC
"Adding Trevor James to the Murrieta Surf coaching staff is a great move for the future of our club,” said Steve Myles Director of Soccer. “He is extremely experienced and he has a keen eye for talent." Trevor is highly qualified in every area and he is a huge gain for the club and the valley.
Prior to his position with Murrieta Surf, James was with Chicago Fire, Portland Timbers, LA Galaxy and US Women's National Team.
The Norwich, England, native played professional soccer internationally in England, Norway and the United States. In 1985, James retired from professional soccer and moved to the coaching side. James served as youth academy coach at Ipswich Town, reserve team manager at Colchester United and first team coach and chief scout at Cambridge United in England’s League One prior to joining MLS.
James holds A coaching licenses from both UEFA and the U.S. Soccer Federation.
