As we stated prior to the younger division tryouts, Murrieta Surf is philosophically opposed to having tryouts before teams have played their first State or National Cup games. We are disappointed that this trend did not catch on. We will continue to support the team environment we all work so hard to promote, while not undermining the commitment each player has made to their current team. We will continue to respect a player's right to leave any club, but we also strongly believe that every player should be allowed to honor the commitment to their team by finishing their season with them. We agree with all SCDSL clubs that the season ends after State or National Cup. We refuse to hold tryouts on other’s priorities because doing so violates our beliefs and principles in support of every player's commitment. For that reason, Murrieta Surf still will not hold 2019 tryouts for 2004 – 2001 age groups until after the first round of State or National Cup games has been played. We understand the pressure players and parents face and urge players to be patient, hold steady and display the proper maturity and commitment your teammates and friends can count on through State Cup. We appreciate the support during the younger tryouts and the huge turnout that followed! We believe that this is not just about soccer, this is about life and how we choose to teach it and live it! If your intention is to look elsewhere, we truly wish you the best. But we also hope ALL club players support and demonstrate these values by staying true to your commitments and your teammates. Murrieta Surf wants to promote an environment that is respectful, responsible, and minimizes unnecessary drama. We hope this is not an outdated philosophy and welcome your feedback.

MURRIETA SURF ANNOUNCES NEW 2019 COACHES

Murrieta Surf is pleased to announce new additions to our 2019 coaching staff!!

Murrieta Surf is committed to minimizing the over extension of coaches and we restrict head coaches to no more than 2 teams. This is an important distinction when considering which club to play for. Some head coaches have 3, 4, even 5+ teams!! Although there can be situations beyond our control, we are committed to giving our players the coaches expected at tryouts and signing.

As Murrieta Surf continues to grow into the premier club in the valley (both in size and quality), we are proud to announce significant additions to our coaching staff. In addition to bringing in International coaches, we are delighted to announce the signing of some of the brightest young coaching talent in the valley.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED FEBRUARY 6

JOIN THE MURRIETA SURF SOCCER CLUB FAMILY

The Murrieta Surf Soccer Club will provide a competitive soccer experience for the committed soccer player.  As a club, we will strive to create an environment that will provide each player with a valuable learning experience, an opportunity to improve their soccer skills, an entry into higher levels of soccer, and a chance to be part of a premier program.

We will support these principles by improving individual skills through:

Well-structured practice sessions

Playing games at the highest possible competitive level

Increasing the tactical element of team play

Using soccer as a tool to promote: fair play, self confidence, good social skills, and proper behavior.

Our organization's success will be measured by how well we accomplish our objectives,  not by win/ loss records. We will abide by rules and regulations of the governing bodies associated with the leagues in which our teams play. Murrieta Surf strives to be a premier soccer program through the development, progress, and growth of our players. As a soccer club, we want to prepare them for the physical, mental, and emotional complexities of the game, as well as the disciplines and responsibilities of life after soccer. Player development is the primary objective of Murrieta Surf Soccer. This development breaks down into five components: Technical, Tactical, Physical, Social, and Psychological. As the age level increases, different components are stressed.
